Seems people are experiencing failure to eject spent cases in there new Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. A great product already plagued with a major problem. Not sure how common this problem is but it could hurt sales if it is not handled properly.

S&W M&P 15/22

I just returned my M&P 15/22 for a refund. For the second time it had to be returned to the factory. The first time it had a catridge insert half way and eplode taking out the ejecting pin mechanism. After return from the S&W fix-it department it did the same thing. The broken ejection pin parts appear to be very fragile. I have heard of this happening to others and want to prevent any possible injury for others. I think from my experience this product needs a complete redesign. Fortunately no one was hurt in either incident.
I have since purchased a SIG Sauer 522 and have shot (several hundred shots) several ammunition types and only had one FTF and NO FTE. The ejection parts are very robust and we have had no problems. The SIG also comes with a flash supperssor and came to my surprise in a nice blue plastic-padded hinged case with lock provisions. I suggest S&W buy one and examine it
Thanks, Mike J. I welcome any inquiries.
