 With its new Model M&P15 PS, Smith & Wesson has joined a growing number of AR-15 manufacturers offering rifles with gas-piston-system operation (hence the "PS" designation) instead of the AR-15's traditional direct gas-impingement mechanism

 Sig Sauer is getting ready to release a new rifle in .22LR based on the Sig 566. It is a semi automatic .22LR built by Sig and should be an instant hit as the high cost of ammunition drive more and more people towards .22LRs.

Remington has designed a new cartridge specifically for the AR-15.  It is a .30 caliber cartridge based on a necked down .450 Bushmaster case and ballistics similar to a .308.  It's designed for those hunters who hate leaving there AR-15 at home when they head out to the woods for deer, antelope, or boar hunting.

Savage wanted to capture some of that black rifle market share and they did it by doing what they do best, making a tactical bolt action.  They took there trusted model 110 and turned it into a sniper/target rifle dressed all in black with a ten round detachable magazine.
